In the Spotlight
What an honour to have one of my paintings selected to be a part of Sheffield's Weston Park Museum "Caribbean Footsteps" exhibition!
This portrait was part of a reflective series that I did between 2019-23 celebrating resilience, and self-discovery. It's title "A Grateful Heart" shows the model (my beautiful daughter-in-law) as a symbol of strength, perseverance, sacrifice and triumph.
I gave the painting to my son Jose and daughter-in-law Lian for their 3rd wedding anniversary, and it's now on loan from them to the museum until June 2026 so please pop in to see the original if you're in the Sheffield area!

DERBYSHIRE OPEN ARTS WEEKEND 2025!
Huge thanks to everyone who took the time to come out to the picturesque Beenchenhill for our annual spring arts weekend! It was wonderful to see familiar faces and make new friends who all love art and are happy to support us makers.
Our hardworking hosts Sue and Terry Prince made us all feel right at home as usual and their pop-up cafe serving hot homemade soup, coffee and cakes was a hit with artists and visitors alike!
The weekend was made all the more special for me as my daughter came all the way from Surrey to spend time with us and made some new friends in the PDA as well!
PAPAL AUDIENCE & PAINTING PRESENTATION
On October 18th, 2023 I was honoured to have an audience with the late Pope Francis at St. Peter's Square, Vatican City, Rome. I was there at the invitation of the Most Rev Robert Rivas O.P. Archbishop Emeritus of Castries, St. Lucia.
The retired Archbishop wrote a book of poetry, songs and reflections all dedicated to Pope Francis called "The Face of a Listening Church".
I was commissioned to create a painting that was used as the cover art for the publication. His Grace and I presented both the book and the painting in person to the late Pope Francis that day.
